The Texas Workforce Commission has launched a new program to promote disability inclusion in the workplace. The We Hire Ability employer recognition program celebrates Texas employers who demonstrate a commitment to hiring and supporting individuals with disabilities. People with disabilities have much to offer employers, but are often an untapped resource in the workplace. The We Hire Ability program will open doors for both employees with disabilities and employers by promoting inclusive workspaces and integrated environments. An integrated environment is one in which coworkers with and without disabilities work alongside one another.
